How it works:

With your purchased ticket a member will take that actual ticket & then advise you to walk around the raffle tables & place  your  raffle tickets in the bins of the decor items you hope to win. If you want to purchase more raffle tickets,  a Soroptimist member will be available in the guest area. Once your tickets are all put in the baskets, wander in to have some light refreshments or buy a glass of wine and bid on some wonderful items in our silent auction.

Soroptimist is a global women's organization whose members volunteer to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. Approximately 75,000 Soroptimists in about 132 countries and territories support community-based and global projects benefiting women and girls. The organization is particularly concerned with providing women and girls access to education, as this is the most effective path to self-determination.

Kari White LYD 2024

Kari is completing four Associate’s degrees by the Spring of 2024. She will be getting an Associate’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, and Liberal Arts. After achieving this goal, she plans to go to California Baptist University for the accelerated program for Social Work. Ultimately, she seeks a Master's degree in Social Work. After overcoming obstacles and personal challenges she has plans to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and help others, no matter what obstacles she faces.

Live Your Dream Award Program

 

The Soroptimist Live Your Dream Awards (formerly the Women’s Opportunity Awards) assists women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects.

The APPLICATION PORTAL IS NOW CLOSED

The Live Your Dream Awards offers three levels of cash awards. Eligible applicants can submit their application between August 1 - November 15. Ultimately, a Live Your Dream Awards finalist has the potential receive up to $16,000 to help offset tuition costs, purchase books, get transportation, or find reliable childcare so she can worry less about how to pay her bills and focus on reaching her dreams.
